The family in short
The BRFB line is a family of refrigerators identified by the prefix on the rating-plate model number. What the models have in common is how cold air is produced and routed, and that shared design is what makes their fault pattern predictable. Nothing here is a repair procedure. - The food compartment is no longer cold — Top of the list for this platform: it is both the most common complaint and the one most often misattributed to the compressor.
- An unfamiliar sound from the unit — Second on this family, and identification here needs no tools at all.
- Ice has stopped, or cubes have got smaller — Third on this family, and almost always a supply-chain fault rather than a failed ice maker.
