The short answer
A Bertazzoni oven that trips its breaker is usually reporting an element that has failed to earth, and that is not a fault to reset repeatedly. - Moisture in the cavity insulation or on a terminal — Second, and common after a heavy spill or over-enthusiastic cleaning. It can cause trips that come and go, and it sometimes dries out and stops, which makes it easy to dismiss.
- A damaged supply cable or connection — Third: the oven is hard-wired, and a connection in the junction behind the appliance can loosen or chafe against the cabinet over years of heat cycling.
- A control board or relay fault — Last, and least common. A relay welded closed shows as an oven that heats when it should not, rather than as a clean trip.

Leave the circuit off. A breaker that trips is reporting a fault, and repeated resets energise that fault again and again. Never remove the rear or side panels of a built-in oven: the supply terminals inside are hard-wired and live when the circuit is on, and a capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. Never pour water into a hot cavity, and never use a pressure washer or a steam cleaner on an oven.
When to call a technician
Call as soon as the oven trips a breaker and leave the circuit off in the meantime. Call an electrician rather than an appliance technician if other appliances trip the same breaker too, because then the wiring is the suspect. Call immediately, and do not restore power, if you saw arcing in the cavity or smelled burning, since an element arcing to earth is a fire risk as well as a trip.
