The short answer
A Beko BVHF cabinet running as a refrigerator has one compartment and one cooling circuit, so when it drifts warm everything inside warms together and there is no second compartment to compare against. That puts the weight of the diagnosis on two things you can see: how much air the condenser is getting, and whether a tall door is still sealing at its bottom edge.
What you observe
- The compressor runs almost continuously and the cabinet is still warm — Work is being done and none of it is reaching the food.
- Frost heaviest at the bottom of the door opening — A racked door letting humid room air in at the weakest point.
- Items at the back are cold and the door shelves are not — Circulation rather than refrigeration.
- The back and sides are hot to the touch — Normal to a point, but hot with a warm interior means heat has nowhere to go.
- NEAR MISS - silent and warm — Nothing is running, which is a supply or start-relay fault.
Causes, most likely first on this family
- Condenser starved of room air — First on a freestanding cabinet with no dedicated air path. A wall-tight install or an alcove produces it.
- Door gasket not sealing along a full-height door — Second, and usually alignment rather than wear: a tall door racks and grips at the top.
- Evaporator fan not running — Third, and the reason the cabinet stratifies instead of warming evenly.
- Defrost cycle not keeping up — Fourth at fridge temperatures, where on the freezer configuration it would rank first.
- Sealed-system or compressor fault — Last, least common, and the only one no owner check settles.
Check in this order, and why
- Check the rating plate for the configuration — First, because it decides the order of everything below.
- Pull the cabinet clear of the wall and leave it a day — Second, and free: a condenser breathing its own warm air produces this with nothing broken.
- Test the gasket with paper at the bottom corner and the top — Third. Grip at the top with release at the bottom is a racked door.
- Read the cabinet temperature before planning a repair — Fourth, because a little warm and barely cool are different problems.

Unplug the appliance or switch off its breaker before removing any panel. A capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. Never chip ice off an evaporator with a metal tool - the tubing is soft aluminium and a puncture ends the cabinet. Empty a tall cabinet before moving it.
