Asko Washer: Does Not Clean or Dry
A washer that no longer cleans well has usually changed nothing mechanically: the dose, the water temperature, the load size or the machine hygiene has drifted. Unplug the washer and close both taps before removing an inlet screen or any panel; the supply is under mains pressure and a capacitor in the drive circuit holds a charge after the power is off. Never mix machine cleaners with bleach or with each other, and never run a cleaning cycle with laundry in the drum.
Where the owner checks end
Call a technician when one of these is true, and not before.
When the door glass stays cold through a hot cycle, which points at the heater or its sensor. When cleaning does not improve after a corrected dose, a cleared dispenser and a drum-clean cycle. When the machine fills only with cold water on every cycle regardless of setting.
