Read this first
Arieta refrigerators fail predominantly in airflow and water management: iced evaporators that warm the fresh-food compartment, and defrost drains that put water under the crisper. Electrical failures usually resolve to the outlet. The urgent case is always a cabinet that cannot hold temperature, because food safety runs on a shorter clock than a parts order.
What owners describe
- The fresh-food side is warm — Airflow. Read the cooling page and start with a thermometer.
- Water inside or under the cabinet — Defrost drain or a supply line. The leak page separates them.
- Nothing running at all — The will-not-start page tests the outlet before anything else.
- A new noise — Fans and panels, mostly. Rarely the compressor.
- Frost building unusually fast — A door seal admitting humid air, which becomes an airflow fault later.
- Food freezing in the fresh-food compartment — A damper or sensor problem: the opposite fault and worth its own visit.
Ordered by likelihood
- Airflow and defrost — First, and the class that produces the widest range of downstream symptoms.
- Drains and water lines — Second, and mostly owner-fixable.
- Door seals — Third, and often the upstream cause of the first two.
- Supply and control — Fourth. Boards fail far less often than owners assume.
- Sealed system — Last, and the expensive class.

What is not a homeowner job
A manual defrost, a cleared drain and a cleaned condenser are all owner work and between them they resolve a large share of what appears on this list. Anything behind the evaporator cover, anything needing a meter and anything on the sealed system is a service call. Call without waiting if the fresh-food compartment cannot hold at 40 degrees Fahrenheit or below. Unplug the appliance or switch off its breaker before removing any panel, whoever does the work.

Where this page stops
This page is generalized across Arieta refrigerators and is family-agnostic by design. It names no models, no capacities and no part references, because those differ between builds sold under this badge. Where a family- or model-specific page exists for your unit, the symptom pages above link down to it and it is the more precise answer. Clearances, levelling and the water supply to the unit belong to the installation rather than to the appliance.
