The short answer
A leak from the Arctic Wind ABMJ refrigerator is diagnosed by where the water appears. Inside under the drawers is a drain fault, out at the front is usually a drain or a door problem, and behind the cabinet is the supply line - three different jobs with three different answers.
What you see on the ABMJ line
- Water on the floor at the front of the cabinet — Usually the same drain fault once the pool inside has found the door seal.
- Water on the floor behind the cabinet — Points at the supply line or the drain pan rather than at anything in the compartment.
- A sheet of ice on the freezer floor — Melt water refreezing because it cannot get to the drain.

Check in this order, and why
- First - Pull the unit out and look at the wall valve, the line and the inlet valve for damp — Any damp or mineral crust at a joint names it; a dry line sends you back inside the cabinet. That is the order the roster on this page dictates, not a generic sequence.
- Second - Look for ice outside the mould and around the fill tube — Ice where ice should not be is unambiguous, and it moves the diagnosis onto the ice maker.
- Third - Note whether flushing the drain hole changed anything at all — A flush that runs through freely with the leak continuing means the fault is behind the panel.

Safety
Unplug the appliance or switch off its breaker before clearing a drain or removing any panel - water and live terminals share very little space inside a refrigerator, and a capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. Shut the water off at the wall valve before touching any part of the supply line. Never clear a frozen drain with a screwdriver or a skewer: the trough behind it is thin and the evaporator is immediately above.

When to call a technician
Call if the leak has been running long enough to reach flooring or cabinetry, and call if clearing the drain has fixed it twice already - a drain that blocks repeatedly is usually a trough or a tube fault upstream rather than debris at the hole. A slow drip inside the cabinet is not an emergency, but standing water on the floor is.
