The short answer
Most water complaints on the Arctic Wind ABMH refrigerator are drainage rather than plumbing. Frost melts on schedule, runs to a drain hole, down a tube and into a pan over the compressor where it evaporates - and anywhere that path is interrupted, the water arrives somewhere you can see it.
What you see on the ABMH line
- A sheet of ice on the freezer floor — Melt water refreezing because it cannot get to the drain.
- Condensation on the ceiling and the back wall — Warm air getting in rather than water failing to get out.
- The leak comes and goes over a day or two — That rhythm is the defrost cycle, and it points at the drain path every time.
- NEAR MISS - the cabinet is also warm — Water with a warm cabinet is usually a defrost system fault seen from the other side; start from the cooling page.

- Water supply line, inlet valve or filter housing leaking — Most likely here: A plumbed-in cabinet has a joint at the wall, a joint at the valve and a filter housing inside, and any one of them will weep after the unit has been moved. Check in this order, and why
- First - Pull the unit out and look at the wall valve, the line and the inlet valve for damp — Any damp or mineral crust at a joint names it; a dry line sends you back inside the cabinet. That is the order the roster on this page dictates, not a generic sequence.
- Second - Run a sheet of paper round the seal, and check nothing is holding the door open — Drag all round is a good seal; a section that slides free is the leak, and condensation will be worst nearest it.
- Third - Note whether flushing the drain hole changed anything at all — A flush that runs through freely with the leak continuing means the fault is behind the panel.

Safety
Power off at the plug or the breaker, and turn off the water at the wall before the unit is moved. Water on a kitchen floor next to an appliance that is being pulled out is a slip hazard and an electrical one at the same time, so dry the floor first and take the unit out with two people. Do not run the machine with the rear panel off to watch where the water goes.

When to call a technician
Call when the drain flushes through freely and the water keeps coming, because the remaining fault is at the trough or the drain tube behind the rear panel and getting there means the evaporator exposed. Call the same day for any leak at the supply line that you cannot stop at the wall valve, and for water reaching an electrical outlet or running under a neighbouring appliance.
