What this means on these models
A leaking Ambiano BC is almost always a blocked defrost drain rather than a burst line. The model matrix on this page lists one model number under this family badge. The tell is whether the water is inside the cabinet or on the floor, and whether it is there constantly or only after the unit has run for a while.
What you observe
- Water pooling under the crisper drawers — The classic blocked defrost drain: melt water backs up inside the liner instead of reaching the drain pan.
- Water at the front of the floor, usually after a cycle — Melt water overflowing the liner runs forward and out under the door, which is why the puddle appears at the front.
- A steady drip at the back, near the floor — A slow drip at the rear near floor level that keeps going whether or not the unit has just cycled.
- Water running down the inside of the door liner — Droplets on the shelves and running down the inside of the door, which is condensation rather than plumbing.
- Damp or buckled flooring under the appliance — A slow leak that has been running for a while, which is worth treating as urgent even when the volume looks small.
- NEAR MISS — water only in the drain pan at the back — A wet drain pan is the expected end of the defrost path, not a fault.
Ranked causes for these models
- Ice maker fill tube or a leaking inlet valve — First on the BC line where the cabinet has an ice maker, because an inlet valve that no longer seats puts clean water into the freezer continuously rather than on a defrost schedule.
- Blocked or frozen defrost drain — Second: melt water backing up under the crispers or freezing on the freezer floor, on a cycle rather than continuously.

Dry the floor and isolate the appliance at its breaker before working — a capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off, and standing water around a live appliance is the real hazard. If water has reached a socket or a lead, switch that circuit off at the consumer unit before touching either. Close the household water valve before breaking any supply joint.
