The short answer for the ARD models

When to call a technician
Call once the freezer is measurably cold enough, the arm is down, the line is clear and the bin is empty and there is still no ice — at that point the fault is in the module, the mould heater or the fill valve, all of which need a meter behind a panel. Call sooner if you find water dripping from the supply fitting, because a slow leak behind a cabinet damages the floor long before anybody notices it. On the ARD models the line sits where the check stops being one you can make from outside the cabinet. Book with the recess in mind: if the cabinet has to come out of a fitted opening before anything can be looked at, say so when you call, because that is often the longest part of the visit.
