Viking Gas Range Recall 2016 — Gas Leak at Regulator Connection
Hazard: The gas connection at the pressure regulator can develop a slow leak due to a thread sealant defect, creating a risk of gas accumulation, fire, and explosion. Viking received 27 reports of gas odor and 2 reports of flash fire near the connection.
Remedy: Free in-home repair to replace the pressure regulator fitting and apply proper thread sealant. Viking dispatches certified gas technicians. Repair includes full leak testing of all gas connections.
