Oven temperature sensor open/short

Do not bypass the temperature sensor to use the oven. Without temperature feedback, the oven has no overheat protection and can become a fire hazard.
This is a more specific version of the tE code — E-27 explicitly indicates an open or shorted circuit in the temperature sensor wiring
Turn off the breaker and access the sensor connector at the back of the range. Disconnect and reconnect the sensor plug to rule out a loose connection
Measure resistance at the control board end of the sensor harness: should be approximately 1,080 ohms at room temperature. OL (open) = broken wire or disconnected sensor. Near zero = shorted wire or sensor
If resistance at the board connector differs from resistance at the sensor itself, the wiring between them is damaged. Trace the wire path for breaks — especially where wires pass through the oven insulation
Pro Diagnostic Tip
E-27 appearing after oven self-clean is a classic sign of heat-damaged sensor wiring insulation. Self-clean temperatures (900 °F+) can exceed the wire insulation rating where the harness passes near the oven cavity. Look for wire insulation that has turned brittle and brown.
