Causes, most likely first on this build
- A condenser coil smothered in dust — The condenser is how heat leaves the cabinet, and a blanket of dust, hair or lint on it behaves exactly like insulation. Unplug the appliance or switch off its breaker before removing any panel, because a capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. Leave the door switch wired exactly as it is: it cuts power to the fan for a reason, and defeating it is never part of a diagnosis.

Call once the clearance, the coil, the gasket and the load inside are all clean and the cabinet still will not hold its band, or the moment the fault is on the sealed system: refrigerant work is licensed and the tools for it are not owner tools. Call immediately if you smell burning, or see oil around the compressor, because oil outside the tubing means the system is open and every hour it runs after that costs more to put right.
