- The way the machine is loaded — A dishwasher washes what the water can reach. Switch the machine off at the isolating switch under the worktop, or unplug it, before opening any panel, and shut the supply valve under the sink. A capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off.

Call when the filter is clean, both arms spin freely with clear jets, the water arrives hot and a full programme with fresh detergent still leaves the load dirty. That points at the wash pump, which is the one cause here that is not free to fix.
