Let the oven cool completely before inspecting the door, and switch off at the breaker before any work beyond a visual check. Never remove an oven door without following the hinge-locking procedure for that build: the hinges are strongly sprung and they close hard enough to break fingers. Never run an oven with the door wedged or propped.
When to call a technician
Call once the gasket is sound and seated, the gap is even and the door still will not seal, because the next step is hinges or a door strip-down.
