The short answer
Ice complaints on a Conserv TMRI refrigerator come down to three questions asked in order: is water reaching the mould, is the freezer cold enough to release a harvest, and is the mechanism turning. What you observe

- NEAR MISS — no ice and a freezer that is not truly cold — Then the ice maker is behaving correctly and the cooling page is the one to read: no harvest happens above the release temperature.
Causes, most likely first on the TMRI models
- Freezer not cold enough to harvest — First on this family, and the cause most often misread as a broken ice maker. The harvest is temperature-triggered, so a cabinet drifting warm simply stops making ice while everything else still looks normal.
- Water supply restricted or shut off — Second. A closed shut-off arm, a partly shut valve, a kinked line or a filter long overdue all produce the same dry or half-filled mould.

- Look at the mould: dry, part full, or frozen over — Dry points at supply, part full at restriction, frozen over at the fill tube. Three different repairs and one glance separates them.
- Trace the supply line for kinks and check the filter age — A line crushed behind the cabinet after a move is a common cause and needs nothing but a look.

Unplug the appliance or switch off its breaker before removing any panel. A capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. Where a water line is involved, close the supply valve before disturbing any fitting, and have a towel ready: even an isolated line holds water. Do not attempt to thaw a frozen fill tube with anything hot or sharp — warm air and patience only, because the tube is soft and the valve behind it is not designed to be levered.

When to call a technician
Call when the temperature, supply and fill checks are clean and the mechanism itself is still not cycling.
