The short answer
Water around a Comfort Time DSC refrigerator almost always starts as melt water with nowhere to go, not as a burst pipe. These cabinets produce melt water every cycle and route it to a shallow tray above or beside the compressor, where it is meant to evaporate. Water inside the cabinet and water on the floor behind it have different causes, so note which you have before you start.
What you actually observe
- Water appearing at the foot of the unit — Water at the front usually arrived inside and ran out, which points at the drain rather than at plumbing.
- Water on the floor at the back — If your model has a water line, the joints are back here.
