The short answer
The leak most often found on a Beko WFTV is at the tap end of the supply hose, and it is also the one owners are least likely to look at - because it drips behind the machine, onto a floor nobody sees, and it does it whether the machine is running or not.
What you observe
- Damp or stained floor behind the machine with nothing running — A supply hose or its connection at the tap.
- Water at the front during the wash, without foam — The door boot, usually torn at its lowest point.
- Foam and water at the front during the fill — The detergent drawer overflowing.
- Water under the middle after a cycle — The pump filter cap, the pump housing or the sump hose.

Causes, most likely first on this family
- Supply hose washer or fitting — First, and the only leak that runs with the machine switched off.
- Torn or perished door boot — Second, and the leading mechanical leak on any front-loader.
- Pump filter cap not seated — Third, and very common right after the filter has been cleaned.
- Detergent drawer overflowing — Fourth, from over-dosing or a siphon blocked with residue.
- Sump hose or pump housing — Last, and the one that needs a panel off to confirm.
Check in this order, and why
- Dry behind the machine, wait with everything switched off, and look again — First. Any water there is the supply side and no cycle is needed to prove it.
- Feel each hose fitting at the tap and at the machine — Second. A weeping fitting is damp to the touch before it ever drips visibly.
- Open the door boot at its lowest fold and inspect — Third. Grit, coins and a tear are visible without tools.
- Check the filter cap is seated and its seal clean — Fourth, especially if the filter was recently opened.

Safety
Unplug the machine before removing any panel, and close both taps before disturbing a hose - it is under pressure whenever the tap is open. Mop before working: water and a live appliance on a hard floor is a shock risk. Replace rather than re-use a hose whose fitting has cracked, and do not over-tighten a plastic fitting.

When to call a technician
Call when the hoses are dry, the boot and drawer are sound, the filter cap seals and water still appears, because what remains is the sump hose, the pump housing or the tub. Call immediately if water is reaching the electrical area at the base.
