The family in two sentences
Everything in the AMA family — twenty-five coded models — is built around the same cooling layout, so the faults repeat across it. Temperature complaints lead here, and the leak, ice and noise complaints behind them are often the same fault seen from another side.
What goes wrong, and where it is covered
- Runs but will not hold temperature — The cabinet hums all day and never gets cold, or one compartment holds while the other drifts. Covered on the cooling page.
- Water under the drawers or on the floor — Water that arrives in slugs is the drain or the fill; water that seeps all day is plumbing. Covered on the water-leak page.
- A noise the cabinet did not used to make — Open a freezer door: a noise that stops is inside it, one that continues is behind it. Covered on the noise page.
- The ice maker has stopped filling the bucket — An empty bucket with everything else normal, or cubes coming out hollow and half formed. Covered on the ice-maker page.
Which class leads
- Cooling — Leads here. It pulls the other three along behind it.
- Water — Next. The drain path first, the pressurised joints second.
- Noise — Next. Mostly transmission rather than failure, and a fair share of it is normal.
- Ice — Least common. Usually a supply or a harvest question, not a failed module.
