Temperature sensor short circuit

Miele dishwashers use proprietary NTC sensors. Generic replacements may have incorrect resistance curves causing poor wash performance.
Power off and unplug the dishwasher
Access the NTC temperature sensor (behind inner door panel)
Measure sensor resistance with multimeter (should be ~5k ohms at room temp)
Check wiring harness for moisture or corrosion
Replace NTC sensor if reading near 0 ohms (shorted)
Pro Diagnostic Tip
A shorted NTC reads near 0 ohms. On Miele units with WiFiConn@ct, check the diagnostic log via the Miele@home app for exact sensor readings before disassembly.
