Twelve procedures, opening with a gas range that burns an uneven flame and continuing into electric surface work: the coil burner element, its receptacle, the range burner switch, drip pans and glass cooktop cleaning. The oven covers the lower bake element, the temperature sensor, the selector switch, the fan motor, the door gasket and a control-board capacitor. It is a hub that assumes you might have either fuel in the kitchen and covers the oven common to both.
An uneven gas flame is a burner-level read and the guide keeps it there: ports blocked with spillover, a cap that is not seated, then supply pressure — in that order, and none of it requires a part. Electric surface faults invert the usual instinct by starting at the receptacle, where heat damage collects on the terminals. In the oven, the door gasket is inspected before any heating component, then the temperature sensor, and only then the bake element.
Two limits, one per fuel. Gas work ends at the supply connection, because what is at stake there is a leak rather than a poor repair. Electric work ends at the 240 volt coil burner receptacle, which is replaced as an assembly when its contacts are scorched, and at the control-board capacitor.
