Eight Frigidaire oven codes are indexed here, and half of them concern the cavity probe. F3 is a sensor outside its resistance window in either direction, F30 is the same probe read as open, and F31 is it read as shorted — a collapsed-low reading, melted lead insulation, or moisture bridging the plug pins. F10 is a runaway temperature, where a shorted probe or a stuck relay leaves the oven heating. F1 is the electronic oven control tripping its own watchdog, F11 is a shorted key, and F5 and F9 are the door lock, the second during self-clean.
Three codes for one sensor sounds redundant until the checks diverge, and that is exactly what the guides use them for: an open probe is proved at the connector, a shorted one is often proved by finding where the lead touches the cavity wall, and an out-of-window reading is proved cold at room temperature. F1 is separated from all of them, because a control that resets itself is not reporting a sensor at all. The lock codes ask first whether the latch arm is bent and binding before the drive motor is accused.
F10 is the code to act on rather than clear. A relay stuck closed keeps an element energised whatever the display shows, and during a self-clean the door is locked over it — so the breaker, not the cancel button, is the reliable interruption. The rear cavity harness and the control board are line-voltage work, and a gas range adds a supply line to the same compartment.
