How to clear FCE1 yourself#
- Turn the microwave off at its circuit breaker and leave it off for one full minute.
- Turn the breaker back on.
- Watch the display for one minute and see whether FCE1 returns.
- Verify the microwave operates normally — run a short cycle and confirm the controls respond.
- Reset your wireless router.
- If the code is still there, disconnect power from the router for two minutes and reconnect it, then disconnect power to the microwave for two minutes and reconnect it.
Step 6 is the one people cut short. The two-minute wait is not padding — both devices have to drop their held state before they will negotiate a fresh connection, and a ten-second unplug rarely gets there. While you are at it, check that the phone or tablet you pair from is itself behaving.

Call when the code survives that whole sequence — the router power-cycled, other devices connecting to it without complaint, and the microwave still reporting FCE1 after its own two-minute power-down. The fault has then moved inside the appliance, and what is left is the Wi-Fi module or the wiring running to it.
