Confusing a hex head for a Phillips is the classic version of this mistake, because at arm's length inside a cabinet, in poor light, a hex head with a shallow slot cast into it looks near enough to a cross. It is not. Put light on the fastener; the head shape decides the tool, and the panel it sits in tells you nothing.

The multimeter on that list matters as much as the drivers do. The mixed fastener system that shapes the teardown also shapes putting it back together, and this is where a Frigidaire job goes wrong most often. A hex-head fastener driven into a hole that took a Torx one will start, may even feel like it is biting, and will strip the thread as it goes. Sort the hardware by the panel it came out of and keep the groups apart — a lid, a cup, a strip of tape on the floor, anything that means you are never choosing a fastener by eye at the point of reassembly.

Do not lean on a nut driver. Hex heads in sheet metal give you a lot of leverage and very little feedback, so the fastener will keep turning after it has seated and will pull its thread out of the panel. Snug is the target, and past snug there is nothing to gain.

The interior cover needs to go back flush and fully fastened. It is a surface the cold air runs past, so a cover that sits proud is not a cosmetic problem; the same goes for the toe grille, which sits in front of the condenser and is part of how air gets to it.

If the door carries a display or a dispenser, there is a wiring harness routed through its hinge. Seat that connector properly and check the harness is clear of the hinge's travel before the door closes. If the unit is plumbed for ice or water, watch the supply line at the back as you push the cabinet home — the line does not move with the refrigerator, and it is easy to strain a fitting you cannot see.

Bring power back on only after every panel is on and the doors seal cleanly against the cabinet.
