Three Dacor oven symptoms, and two of the three come back to the self-clean cycle. A door stuck shut after a pyrolytic run is almost always the lock motor or wiring damaged by that heat. A self-clean that will not start or finish is the door lock failing to engage, a tripped high-limit thermostat, or a control board holding the door locked. Baking hot or cold is the RTD temperature probe drifting, usually throwing an F3 or F4 code.
Read the code first if there is one, since F3 and F4 point straight at the sensor circuit and save the whole diagnostic ladder. Without a code, the sequence is cool the oven completely, hard-reset it at the breaker, and only then judge the lock — a board that lost its place mid-cycle often releases after a proper power cycle, which costs nothing and is the first thing both door guides ask for.
Do not force a locked door. The latch mechanism is under load, the cavity may still be hot, and a bent latch turns a motor replacement into a door replacement. High-limit thermostats and lock motors sit on the mains side of the control board on a 240-volt circuit. The reset and the thermometer check are yours; when the lock will not release after cooling and a reset, book the repair.

Dacor Oven Door Won't Open: Causes & Fix
A Dacor oven door stuck shut after self-clean is almost always the lock motor or its heat-damaged wiring. Cool the oven, hard-reset the breaker, then use the manual release.
Dacor Oven Running Hot or Cold? Causes & Fix
Most likely the oven temperature sensor (an RTD probe) has drifted, throwing an F3 or F4 code and making the oven overshoot or undershoot. Other causes: a board calibration offset, a slow or seized convection fan, a hardened gasket, or a partly failed dual-fuel element. Dacor Modernist uses Samsung-derived parts that source more easily.
Dacor Oven Self-Clean Won't Run: Causes & Fix
A Dacor self-clean that won't start or complete is usually the door lock not engaging, a tripped high-limit thermostat, or a control board that locks the door but never ramps the heat.
