Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer faults split into an A-series about heat and an F-series about water, and all eight are covered here. A1 is a drawer that will not reach temperature, A2 is the thermistor reading out of range, A3 is a heater relay welded on, and A4 is a control module that can no longer regulate heater output. F1 is water detected in the base, F2 is the wash pump motor — often an impeller jammed on glass or bone fragments — F3 is a fill fault at the valve or inlet screen, and F9 is an overflow the drawer could not stop.
Because each drawer carries its own control module, the guides are explicit about which faults are drawer-specific and which are shared, and that shapes the order of checks: a fault that follows one drawer and not the other points at that module rather than at the plumbing. A2, A3 and A4 all end at temperature control but demand different proofs — a resistance reading, a relay that will not release, and a module that regulates nothing. F3 sends a reader to the supply valve and filter screen before the inlet solenoid.
A3 and F9 are the two that should not wait. A welded heater relay leaves the element energised when the control has stopped asking for heat, and an inlet valve stuck open keeps filling a drawer that has already flooded its base — in both cases the machine has lost the ability to stop itself, so the supply and the breaker are the first move rather than a reset. The rest is approachable. EasyBear services Fisher & Paykel dishwashers across Sacramento and the Bay Area.
