This safety step is not optional. Samsung microwaves contain a high-voltage capacitor that stores approximately 2,100 volts DC — enough to be lethal — even after the unit is unplugged from the wall outlet. Never open the outer cabinet. Only the items below are safe to inspect after unplugging.
