What this Frigidaire vs LG comparison is based on#
The evidence on this page is two federal complaint records: 273 CPSC SaferProducts incident reports naming a component on a Frigidaire refrigerator between 2011 and 2026, and 192 doing the same for an LG refrigerator over the same window. Each share belongs to its own column's total, and neither total counts appliances in service.
Both records are large enough to be read row by row, and they are close enough in size that a gap between them is a gap between the records rather than an artefact of one being thin.
The differences are component-specific, not general#
The useful thing about this pairing is that it does not resolve into one record being noisier than the other. On the compressor the two are effectively identical — 10% of the Frigidaire reports against 9% of the LG ones, 27 filings against 18, a single point the table marks as noise. The motor matches at 2% on both sides, and the condenser at 1%.
