Door Lock#
Among machines that clearly have power, the door lock is the highest-yield check. Bosch washers will not run the cycle until the door lock confirms sealed; a worn latch, a broken catch, or a door that will not compress the seal breaks that signal, and the machine beeps but never begins. Confirm the door physically latches, and test the lock assembly for continuity with the power off.
Child Lock and AquaStop#
If the display is fully lit but Start does nothing, look for the Child Lock indicator first — it disables the controls by design and is the fastest thing to clear. If instead the washer starts and then shuts off within seconds, suspect AquaStop: Bosch's flood-protection system cuts the machine off when it detects water in the base tray.
