Diagnosis Path
1. Pump Filter/Trap (Front-Load Amana, 35%)
Access: open the small door on the lower-right front. Place a pan and towels. Slowly unscrew the filter cap — water flows out. Clean all debris. Check the impeller behind the filter for tangled hair and string.
2. Drain Hose Blockage or Kink (25%)
Disconnect the hose at the standpipe. Hold below pump level — water should flow by gravity. No flow = blockage inside the hose. Clear with a drain snake or replace ($10-15).
Standpipe depth: Insert the hose 4-6 inches into the standpipe. Too deep creates a siphon. Too shallow allows the hose to pop out.
