Seven parts guides, and the thermistor entry carries a code: E05 on a Bosch washer points at the NTC thermistor, the sensor that reports water temperature to the control. That specificity is worth having, because it turns a code into one part. The rest of the set is the control board, the drain pump, the filter, the drive motor, a separate sensor guide and the water inlet valve — the components behind a machine that will not fill, will not drain, or stops mid-cycle.
Start from what the machine is reporting rather than from what it is doing. E05 is a heating and sensing fault and goes straight to the NTC thermistor. No water entering is the inlet valve, checked after the supply taps and screens. Water that will not leave is the filter first, since it is designed to be opened by the owner and traps exactly what causes the complaint, then the drain pump. The motor is last in every one of those chains.
Two limits on this machine. The drum will not turn with the door open because an interlock prevents it, and that part is replaced rather than worked around. The control board and motor are at mains potential inside the cabinet, so they are a different class of job from a filter or a hose. EasyBear repairs Bosch washers across Sacramento and the Bay Area.
