Frigidaire Washer E11: Tub Did Not Fill in Time
Getting Your Clothes Out
Since the washer never filled or only partially filled, there is little water in the drum. Press Cancel and wait 1-2 minutes for the door lock to release. If it does not unlock, unplug for five minutes.

Five Quick Checks
- Both supply valves behind the washer must be fully open. It is common for valves to be bumped closed during cleaning.
- Frozen supply lines. If your washer is in an unheated space and temperatures dropped below freezing, hoses may have frozen.
- Kinked inlet hoses. Pull the washer forward and check both hoses for kinks or crushing.
- Hot water at a nearby faucet. Run hot water for 30 seconds. Weak flow indicates a household pressure problem.
- Power cycle. Breaker off five minutes. If E11 was a transient sensor glitch, it clears.
The Fill System
Water inlet valve (137353500, $40-$80). A dual-solenoid valve at the top rear. One solenoid for hot, one for cold. Test each solenoid: expect 500-1500 ohms. Open reading means burned coil. Also check inlet screens inside each valve port for mineral scale buildup.
Pressure sensor (131692900, $25-$45). Connected to the tub by a thin air dome tube. As water fills, air pressure in the tube increases, pressing a diaphragm in the sensor. If the tube is cracked, kinked, or clogged with detergent residue, the sensor never registers full.
Supply pressure. Frigidaire washers require minimum 20 PSI. A pressure gauge on an outdoor hose bib gives a definitive reading.
Safety First — Know the Risks
High-voltage components and pressurized water lines create flood and shock risk. A single loose fitting can cause thousands in water damage. Our techs are licensed and insured — let them handle the risk.

Diagnostic Mode
Press Cancel to stop any cycle. Then press any three buttons in sequence twice (1-2-3, 1-2-3). All LEDs illuminate. Press Start for the automatic test sequence. During the fill test, listen for the valve opening. No water sound during fill test points to the valve or its power circuit.

- Remove top panel (2-3 screws at rear, slide back and lift).
- Disconnect wire connectors and internal fill hoses from the valve.
- Remove valve mounting screws. Install new valve. Reconnect.
- Open supply. Check every connection for leaks. Run a cycle.

FAQ
E11 on cold cycles only. The cold solenoid has failed or the cold supply valve is closed. Test cold solenoid resistance independently.
E11 after plumbing work. Sediment from plumbing work clogs inlet screens. Pull and clean them.
Can a failing water heater cause E11? If the heater produces no hot flow, cycles requiring warm or hot water cannot fill the hot port adequately.
