**Wi-Fi Module ** Samsung NZ36K7880U smart induction uses a Wi-Fi module integrated into the main power board. GE Profile PHP9036 uses a separate Wi-Fi adapter (WB27X35219). **Connected Ventilation Link ** Samsung and Bosch smart cooktops can automatically control a connected range hood — turning the fan on when cooking starts and adjusting speed based on heat output. The Value of App-Controlled Temperature#
Smart cooktops excel at one specific use case: precise temperature control from the app. Set a burner to exactly 185F for sous vide, 115F for chocolate tempering, or 375F for deep frying. Traditional cooktops use numbered power levels (1-9) with no precise temperature feedback.
For home cooks who do precision work, this is a genuine differentiator. For standard cooking (boiling, sauteing, searing), numbered power levels are sufficient.
