Kenmore 795-Series French-Door Adjustment#

Upper Door Height#

These models put an adjustable lower hinge on each upper door, worked from the front. Open both doors, find the lower hinge on the door that needs adjusting, insert a 5/32 or 4mm Allen key into the adjustment bolt, and turn clockwise to raise or counterclockwise to lower. Close both doors and confirm the top edges are even and the center seal contacts uniformly from top to bottom.

Center Gap#

When the gap between the two doors is wider at the top than the bottom, one door needs a lateral shift. On models with lateral adjustment at the upper hinge, remove the hinge cover, loosen the mounting bolts slightly, shift the door sideways to equalize the gap, then retighten and verify.

Freezer Drawer#

The bottom drawer's alignment comes from its slides and the cabinet-side mounting brackets. If the drawer binds or sits unevenly, pull it fully out, confirm both slides are clean and undamaged, and check that the mounting brackets sit at equal heights — loosen, reposition, and retighten a bracket if needed.
