What this GE vs LG comparison is based on#
The two records here cover exactly the same years, 2011 to 2026, and differ only in depth: 295 CPSC SaferProducts incident reports name an LG washer and 181 name a GE washer. A shared window removes one of the usual complications from a comparison like this — neither column is missing a stretch of time the other one saw.
What remains is the ordinary caution. These are complaints somebody chose to submit, not inspections and not a census. No public source states how many washers of either brand are in service, so every figure on this page is a share of a pile of paperwork and cannot be turned into a rate.
The same component count, twice over#
